FTE: Part Time, 0.5, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Evenings
Pay: $25.80 - $38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Serves as spiritual care specialist providing spiritual, cultural, emotional and relational care to patients, their family members and organizational staff. Provides education and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Performs and documents spiritual visitation, worship services and outreach.
- Participates on hospital committees and community boards. Provides staff support around crisis intervention, trauma, stress and ethical issues.
- Teaches classes and in-services designed to educate and provide therapeutic assistance to students, patients, family, staff and the community.
- Participates in an interdisciplinary approach to spiritual care and patient health.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Master of Divinity degree or equivalent from an accredited school.
- Satisfactory completion of four (4) units of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) CPE.
- Ordained or in the process of ordination or member of a religious vocation and have denominational endorsement.
- 1 year of relevant Pastoral experience.
Association of Professional Chaplains. May require department specific certification.
